Nawalapitiya villagers confront Pastor Jerome

• Taking to Facebook, Jerome said he went there to inaugurate a prayer mountain

A tense situation arose between security officers of Jerome Fernando and villagers of Nawalapitiya yesterday (05) when Jerome arrived in the area to oversee the construction of a rehabilitation centre for children.   
Villagers claimed that he was planning to build a religious facility instead.   
The police had to intervene to bring the situation under control. Amid massive protests, Jerome left the scene.   
Meanwhile, taking to Facebook, Jerome said he went there to inaugurate a prayer mountain.
