New artifacts found in Mihintale

Fresh artifacts have been discovered during archaeological excavations at historic Anula Cheithiya in Mihintale, a statement from the Buddha Sasana and Cultural Affairs Ministry said.
According to the statement, several beads and a casket (Manjus a) are among the items found.

Subject Minister Vidura Wickramanayake has taken steps to conserve the ancient site.
