No tea party but lunch

The usual tea party which is held for MPs and other invitees after the second reading of the budget was not held this year, but a late lunch because of the fact that the presentation of the budget began at 12 noon.

MP Dr. Harsha de Silva told Daily Mirror that almost all MPs went for lunch at the member’s canteen. “It was only lunch and there was no party,” he said.

Most of the MPs had a late lunch yesterday.
