No way of determining Wijeweera’s fate

• No investigation has been carried out on the JVP Leader’s death while there are no documents with regard to his arrest and death

There is no evidence to determine the fate of Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP)Founder Leader Rohana Wijeweera , Parliament was informed yesterday.   

The details tabled by the Minister of Public Security in response to an oral question raised by MP Lalith Ellawala said there is no way of proving how Wijeweera’s life ended.   
“No investigation has been carried out on the JVP Leader’s death while there are no documents with regard to his arrest and death,” the answer provided by the Minister said.   
Wijeweera was reported killed in November 1989 and news paper reports on it was tabled by the Minister in the House.
