One dead, two injured in head-on collision

One died, and two others were injured in a head-on collision between a lorry and a trishaw at Nadugala in Matara last morning. The deceased and the injured were passengers of the trishaw and members of one family including husband wife and their son.  

The deceased Devalamulla Hewage Malkanthi (48) was the mother of  three children. Her husband, a retired disabled soldier, who had driven  the trishaw and their son received injuries, and they were admitted to  Matara General Hospital.   

 Investigations revealed that the lorry had entered the main road haphazardly and bumped against the trishaw.  
OIC Traffic Samarawickrama and PC 97809 Vishmika conducted investigations.
