Police arrest 19 during raid at Galle Fishery Harbour

During a ten-hour search operation in the Galle Fishery Harbour yesterday, the police arrested 19 suspects who were found in possession of illegal intoxicants, including ICE and Ganja. 

A police contingent comprising officers from Ratgama, Galle, and Ahangama Police Stations conducted the search operation. The police searched more than 100 multiday trawlers and all vehicles entering the fishery harbour. 
The police contingent, led by OIC Harbour Police CI Meshan De Silva, carried out the search operation under the instructions of ASP N.M. Disanayake and SSP Sathis Gamage.
