Razor blade found in sausage bun

Meerigama MOH office is to take legal action against a baker on a complaint that a sausage bun manufactured by him had a razor blade in it and that the mouth and the throat of a consumer who ate it were injured.   

The consumer complained that he purchased the sausage bun from a mobile van selling bakery products belonging to a bakery in Warakapola area and that he ate it only to have his mouth injured with a razor blade in it.   The consumer complained that he obtained treatment at Warakapola hospital.   

A senior official of Meerigama MOH office said the razor blade and the remainder of the sausage bun had been produced by him for investigations. He said legal action would be taken against the bakery owner from Weweldeniya area.
