A record number of absentees were witnessed in Parliament during voting time of the Rehabilitation Bureau Bill yesterday.
Accordingly, 195 members were absent from both sides.
The second reading of the Bill was approved by a majority of 17 votes with only 23 members voting in favour of the Bill and six against.
Daily Mirror learnt that yesterday was a record as it is the lowest turn out of MPs during a voting time since the number of members in the legislature was increased to 225 in accordance with the 1978 constitution.
