Restrict state functions in 2023

Ministry of Finance said the restriction on holding state functions will be extended to 2023 as well.

Secretary to Ministry of Finance Mahinda Siriwardana issued a circular to this effect yesterday.

As per the instructions given in the circular, state institutions are expected to cut down their expenses and will have to see that they don’t exceed the amounts allocated to them at the 
Budget 2013.
