Roshan Ranasinghe sacked

• Mr. Ranasinghe had locked horns with the President  following his criticism of SLC

President Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday sacked Sports  Minister Roshan Ranasinghe from his Cabinet portfolio as the Sports,  Youth Affairs and Irrigation Minister. He was stripped of all his posts  in the government only hours after he criticised the President, even  holding him responsible for any possible untoward act on his life.    
Mr. Ranasinghe had locked horns with the President  following his criticism of Sri Lanka Cricket and its administration. 

He  even dissolved the board and appointed an interim committee, only to be  suspended by court action.   
Sources told Daily Mirror that the official letter removing  him from the Sports Minister portfolio was handed over to him when he  arrived at the Presidential Secretariat to attend the cabinet meeting  yesterday.
