Rs. 60 mn found from bank accounts of Saddharatane Thero - CID

The Criminal Investigation Department yesterday informed Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage that more than Rs. 60 million was found from the three bank accounts of Ven. Rajanganaye Saddharatane Thero, who is in the remand custody for making statements in a manner that could distrupt religious harmony.    In a B report, the CID informed court that 12 bank accounts belonging to the suspect were checked in accordance with the court orders and reports were received from three of them.
