Russian airline to start flight operations to Mattala

• Inaugural flight will bring over 400 Russian tourists

Another Russian airline ‘Red Wings Airlines’ will start flight operations from Moscow to Mattala from December 28, former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Russia Udayanga Weeratunga said.

Mr. Weeratunga said in a video post on social media that the inaugural flight would bring over 400 Russian tourists to Sri Lanka.

He expressed his gratitude to President Ranil Wickremesinghe for ensuring tax concessions for passengers at the Mattala airport.
