SJB must change to fit into new situation: Tissa

• Says party has to change its face while there should be changes to policies and programmes as well

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has to change in line with the new political situation, its National Organizer Tissa Attanayake said yesterday.   

“It is natural that a party should change in line with new situations that occur after a national election,” he told Daily Mirror.   

“We have to decide how the change should come. Party has to change its face while there should be changes to policies and programmes as well,” he said.   

Asked about the reports which is being circulated over social media that some have proposed the appointment of another member as the Opposition Leader while some say party leader Sajith Premadasa should remain in that post, Mr. Attanayake said there has been no officials discussion in the party to that effect.
