SL Delegates discuss Online Safety Bill with Singapore (AIC)

A delegation led by Public Security Ministry Secretary Viyani Gunathilaka had a lengthy consultation with Singapore based Tech Industry collective Asia Internet Coalition (AIC) on Sri Lanka’s Online Safety Bill. Details of the Bill and Supreme Court determination were discussed where the Ministry delegation requested AIC inputs for the possible amendments to the Bill.   
This meeting was held in parallel to the Online Safety Forum jointly organized by AIC and Lee Kwan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore. The Ministry delegation comprised Head of Police Legal Division DIG Ruwan Gunasekera and DG NGO Secretariat Sanjeewa Wimalagunaratna.
