SL educational qualifications to be mutually recognized in Italy: Minister

Education Minister Susil Premajayantha has decided to prepare a system in which educational qualifications in Italy and Sri Lanka are mutually recognized in both countries.  The information was revealed during a discussion held between Italian Education Minister Giuseppe Valditara in Italy.   

This meeting was held with the aim of developing educational cooperation between the two countries.  


The ministers who expressed their views at the meeting agreed that the existence of mutual recognition for education in the two countries is a good support for the economic growth of both countries as well as the development of social cooperation.  


Minister Premajayantha said that he is particularly interested in formalizing vocational training education in this country to match the professional opportunities in Italy.  
He further requested that the Italian Education Minister provide the necessary support to prepare a language laboratory and a system for Sri Lankans to learn the Italian language formally.
