SL expert team leaves for Thailand to treat ‘Muthuraja’

 A team including Dr. Chandana Rajapaksa, the Director of Animal Health and Nutrition at the National Zoological gardens left for Thailand yesterday (5) to assist in the ongoing treatment of tusker ‘Muthurajah’, who was returned to Thailand from Sri Lanka recently due to illness. 

 
The group included Veterinarian Mrs. Madhusha Perera, who treated Muthuraja at the Dehiwala Zoo, and Senior Animal Warden, Nandun Athulathmudali.  
The Zoo department said that the group was sent as per an invitation from the Thai government.
