SLPP wins Yatiyantota Cooperative elections

The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) led group had emerged victorious at the Yatiyantota Cooperative elections after suffering a string of defeats.   

Around 80 members of the group backed by the SLPP were elected to the cooperative committee. 

 
SLPP has suffered a string of defeats in the recent past while Jathika Jana Balawegaya led by JVP while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya has also gain control of some cooperative bodies.
