STF officer’s endeavor lit up school children

Police Special Task Force Chief Inspector Maharamba Silva, who is the OIC of the STF Headquarters Colombo, has launched a programme ‘Anduren Eliyata’ (From darkness to light) to distribute solar panel lights to rural schoolchildren facing difficulties in performing their studies.

The initiative has been made possible by the support of generous Sri Lankan donors living abroad and the backing of the STF Commandant Senior DIG Waruna Jayasundara. Picture shows CI Silva handing over a batch of solar panel lights to a group of students.
