Schaffter’s death Second postmortem completed; will take two months to release final report: Expert committee

The second postmortem examination into the death of  businessman, the-late Dinesh Schaffter has been completed at the  Karapitiya Teaching Hospital, but it would take at least two months to  release the final report on the examination, the expert committee said  yesterday.  

Forensic Pathologist, Teaching Hospital of Karapitiya Dr.  Pradeep Rohan Ruwanpura and Dr. U.C.P. Perera – Professor of Forensic  Medicine, Faculty of Medicine University of Ruhuna said that samples  taken from the body were sent to the laboratory for DNA test and other tests and expressed hope that the results would be available in a period 
of two  months.  


They said that until those reports arrive, the remains of Mr.  Schaffter would be kept at the mortuary of the Karapitiya Teaching  Hospital.
