There are no written documents or details available on the Security Council meetings which were held between 28 October 2015 and 28 August 2019, the answer to an oral question raised in Parliament said yesterday.
This information was revealed in the answer which was tabled by Chief Government Whip Prasanna Ranatunga in response to a question raised by SJB MP Thushara Indunil Amarasena in Parliament.
The total number of Security Council meetings which have been held from 2015 to 2019 have been 58.
Meanwhile Leader of the House Susil Premajayantha who was responding to a supplementary question raised by MP Amarasena as to whether any action would be taken to prosecute Former President Maithripala Sirisena and others under civil procedures, for failing to prevent the Easter Sunday attacks, said it is up to the Attorney General to take such action.
