Director Seevali Arukgoda is to assume duties as the new Media Spokesperson of Sri Lanka Customs today.
Mr. Arukgoda joined SL Customs in 1989 as a Superintendent and rose up to the Director post with a service spanning over 34 years and with experience having worked in every division.
Having obtained his Degree in Law from the Buckinghamshire New University, a Postgraduate Degree in Management from the University of Sri Jayawardenapura and a Master of International Customs Law and Administration from the University of Canberra, Australia, Mr. Arukgoda worked as a Chartered Expertise Trainer at the World Customs Organisation in Brussels, Belgium.
He was a past pupil of Minigamuwa Maha Vidyalaya in Galagedara and Dharmaraja College, Kandy. Mr. Arukgoda succeeds Additional Director General of Customs Sudaththa Silva as Media Spokesman.
