State Poson festival in Mihintale commenced on Thursday

 The week long chanting of Pirith prior to the State Poson festival in Mihintale commenced on Thursday.   
 The Pirith ceremony will end on May 31 followed by an almsgiving.   

 It has been organised under the guidance of the Chief Incumbent of Mihintale Rajamaha Vihara Ven. Walawahengunawewe Dhammarathana Thera, by the Divisional Secretariat and several other institutions.   
 Anuradhapura District Secretary Janaka Jayasundara, Divisional Secretary Anuruddha Nayaka Bandara and Assistant Divisional Secretary Kumara Chandraguptha were present at the occasion.
