The hotel ‘Soul Beach,’ located in Dehiwala, which is suspected to belong to Shiran Basik, a major drug smuggler currently operating from abroad, has been demolished as per the island-wide operation ‘Yukthiya’.

The hotel’s structures were removed on Monday by the Coast Guard and Police after it was found to be an illegal construction.

Special police teams and riot squads had been deployed near the vicinity of the hotel when the constructions were removed.

Meanwhile, a person claiming to be the director of the hotel and two others were arrested for obstructing the duties of government officials during the removal of these unauthorized constructions.
