Teacher in hot water for lodge getaway with students

 A 51-year-old teacher of a school in the Galnewa area was  taken into custody by Epawala Police for taking two underage boys from the  school to a lodge without the permission of their parents.   

Investigations revealed that the suspect had taken the 13-year-old two boys, informing their parents that he was taking them for  volleyball practice at the Anuradhapura public playground on Thursday  (27).   

Police said he had taken the two boys to a lodge in  Eppawala area and that he was arrested the following day (28) when he  was in the lodge with the two boys on a tip-off from an unidentified  informant.   
The two boys were to be referred to JMO Anuradhapura Hospital yesterday.
