Tense situ at National Hospital over statement made by GMOF Hospital minor staff surrounded the office of GMOF President

A tense situation was created yesterday at the Colombo National Hospital (CNH) over a statement given to the media by the Government Medical Officers’ Forum (GMOF), Police said.  They said the hospital minor staff had surrounded the office of GMOF President Dr. Rukshan Bellana.   

While addressing the media on Wednesday (18), Dr. Bellana had issued a statement claiming that hospital minor staff employees used to be involved in drug businesses, and most of them are addicted to drugs.   Later the police had got involved in the incident and taken Dr. Bellana out without any harm.
