Three Sri Lankan women survive Hezbollah rocket attacks on Tel Aviv

Three Sri Lankan women survived the rocket and shelling attacks on Tel Aviv in Israel, by Hezbollah, the militant group based in southern Lebanon, according to Sri Lankan Ambassador to Israel, Nimal Bandara.

The rocket attacks, which occurred on Monday night, caused significant damage to several offices on the ground floor of the Sri Lankan Embassy building and nearby structures, he said.
Two of the women, residents of Wennappuwa and Kamburugamuwa, were staying in a dormitory on the third floor of one of the affected buildings when the attack occurred around 9 pm, he said.

The third woman, a resident of Pussellawa, was travelling on a passenger bus at the time but exited the vehicle and sought shelter in a nearby area when the sirens went off, he added.
