Two gangsters killed in shootout with STF in Minuwangoda

Two accomplices of organised criminal Uragaha Indika who is operating from abroad were killed in a shootout with Police Special Task Force (STF) personnel at Polwatta in Minuwangoda.

  Police said the STF had carried out a raid in Minuwangoda to arrest the suspects wanted over the murder of a man and his 4-year-old child in Yakkalamulla recently.

 The suspects, residents of Poddala were killed during a shooting with the STF and an STF personnel was also injured in the shooting was admitted to Minuwangoda Hospital for treatment.

 The STF also recovered a T-56 type firearm, a 12-bore shotgun and a Rambo-type knife.
 The Minuwangoda Police is investigating.
