UDA sells off six houses for US dollars, earns US$ 276,650

• Sri Lankans domiciled in Canada, Qatar and the United States have purchased these housing units from the UDA 

The  Urban Development Authority (UDA) has sold six housing units for US  dollars under the scheme introduced for it, a statement from the  Housing and Urban Development Ministry said.

The  statement said the UDA earned US$ 276,650 in this transaction.  Besides, Sri Lankans domiciled in Canada, Qatar and the United States  have purchased these housing units from the UDA schemes.

Minister Prasanna Ranatunga took steps to sell off housing units for US dollars.
