Two unbeaten teams, St. Anthony’s Girls’ College Katugastota and Anura Balika Vidyalaya Matara, will battle it out for the Under 19 Girls’ Division Two title when they clash in the final to be played at Nalanda ground in Campbell Place today.

In the run up to the final the two teams ended their round robin matches with an unbeaten record and came out on top in their respective groups.

St. Anthony’s Girls’ led by Shalani Basnayake defeated Puthukkulam Maha Vidyalaya Vavuniya in the second round and then followed it by overcoming Uhana Maha Vidyalaya, Dudley  Senanayake Central College Tholangamuwa and Kekirawa Central in the pre-quarter, quarter and semi-final encounters.

Anura BV is led by Devindi Rasanjani who replaced skipper Rismi Sanjana, who along with two other players Rashmika Sewwandi and Pamoda Shalini, are on national duty representing the Sri Lanka U19 Women’s team in the ongoing ICC Womens World Cup.

Anura BV came out on top in their group after the completion of the first round matches and then defeated Kegalu Vidyalaya in a second round match before getting the better of Jayasiripura KV Polonnaruwa, Pragnananda Maha Vidyalaya Kumbukkana Monaragala and Rathnavali BV Gampaha in the pre-quarter, quarter and semi-final encounters.
