Vaccination for kids against Covid-19 kicks off

Vaccination against Covid-19 for kids aged between 12 and 19, and with long term illnesses, commenced yesterday, a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said.

Second lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa also attended the event to mark the inoculation drive. Pfizer vaccine is used in this instance.

Pfizer vaccination will be first administered to children in Colombo, Kurunegala and Anuradhapura districts and subsequently the programme will be extended to other parts of the country.
