Ven. Eethalawetunawewe Gnanathillaka Thera appointed as Chief Incumbent of Ruwanweliseya

 Chancellor of the Rajarata University Ven. Eethalawetunawewe Gnanathillaka Thera has been appointed as Chief Incumbent of the Ruwanweliseya temple in succession to former Chief Incumbent Ven, Pallegama Hemarathana Thera who was appointed recently as Anuradhapura Atamasthanadhipati.   

 The appointment has been made by the Anuradhapura Atamasthana Working Committee.   

 Ven. Gnanathillaka Thera had been the Chief Incumbent of the Mirisawetiya Cheithyarama before his appointment to the present post.   

 He had entered the order on May 13, 1981 under the tutelage of Ven. Mahakumbukwewe Vajiragnana Thera at the Ruwanweliseya Chiethyarama and educated at the Maha Vihara Pirivena and Shatrodaya Pirivena in Sandalankawa and graduated from the Pali and Buddhist University and the Kelaniya University.
