The Education Ministry is working in coordination with all related institutions to provide vocational education to children who stop in the middle of their school education, Minister Susil Premajayantha said.

Addressing the media, he stated that every child should obtain some professional skills and that it is the responsibility of parents to direct their children to get professional qualifications in order to contribute to the country’s labour requirements.

“The direction of education should be changed to develop the skills of the children. It is expected that the education transformation process to be carried out in the future will produce designers who have balanced knowledge and mental development with skills,” Minister Premajayantha said.

The minister also mentioned that our children are equipped with the necessary knowledge. There should be a change in the attitude of the adults, but not among the children.
