Zahran’s aide gave me information on Easter Sunday attack : Rajitha

Adding more suspense to Channel 4 allegations on Easter Sunday attack, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Rajitha Senaratne said a close aide of Zahran who created the mayhem in April 2019 divulged more information on the incident.  “I met this person who has been a close aide of Zaharan and divulged more information on Easter Sunday attacks. This person also had fled the nation now just like Asath Moulana,” the MP told media.   

“This particular person whom I met had divulged information to Minister Harin Fernando as well,” he added.  “Channel 4 is not just a TV channel which functions in UK but an international media organization, Therefore they have to be taken seriously,” he also said.   

Meanwhile Minister Fernando is of the opinion that Channel 4 has revealed only a fraction of information and there is much more.   

It was also reported that the Attorney General had requested the CID to complete its investigations on Minister Fernando.  

In another development Former President Maithripala Sirisena on Wednesday called for an international probe on Easter Sunday attacks.
