Members of Sri Lanka’s Women Parliamentarians’ Caucus are currently engaged in a study tour in New Zealand, Parliament sources said.
The tour funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Sri Lanka commenced on July 27 and will conclude on August 5.
The Women Parliamentarians’ Caucus is comprised of 12 women MPs which included Sudarshini Fernandopulle, Seetha Arambepola, Rohini Kumari Wijerathna, Pavithradevi Wanniarachchi, Geetha Samanmale Kumarasinghe, Diana Gamage, Thalatha Athukorala, Kokila Gunawardene, Muditha Prishanthi, Rajika Wickramasinghe, Manjula Dissanayake and Harini Amarasuriya. “Their programme include meetings with politicians from a range of parties,” New Zealand’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Michael Appleton tweeted.
