The lady lawyer in Kekirawa Magistrate’s Court who had been arrested on suspicion of destroying two documents relating to a land case was produced before Kekirawa Magistrate yesterday and remanded till August 02.
It is alleged that she had torn off the two documents from a file in the court record room and chewed them. The officers who noticed it had informed the Court Registrar. Later, she was arrested by the police on duty at the Court.
Investigations revealed that she was a party to the land case of which the documents were destroyed.
