Mrs. Grand International 2022 alleges she was asked for sexual bribe

• Malith Ranasinghe who represented MR Entertainment company was tasked with organizing the international event in Sri Lanka
• Ms. Withanawasam claimed that she had been requested by Malith Ranasinghe the Director of MR Entertainment, for a sexual bribe
• An audio recording of  Malith Ranasinghe trying to coerce her to use drugs  banned in Sri Lanka was released to the media

Magen Ratata Organization President Sanjaya Mahawatte claims that Sri Lankas representative for Mrs.Grand International 2022, Chamika Withanawasam, had allegedly been asked for sexual bribes by the Director of M.R. Entertainment Malith Ranasinghe.

 Rasangi Chamika Withanawasam participated in the beauty pageant which was held in Mandalay, Myanmar, from November 8 to 14, representing Sri Lanka.  

While describing the traumatic situation faced by Mrs. Withanawasam, the Magen Ratata Organization also claimed that they had a copy of the agreement which was made with MR Entertainment.  
Mrs.Withanawasam claimed that she had been requested by Malith Ranasinghe the director of MR Entertainment, for a sexual bribe.  An audio recording of  Malith Ranasinghe trying to coerce her to use drugs  banned in Sri Lanka was released to the media.  

Malith Ranasinghe who represented MR Entertainment company was tasked with organizing the international event in Sri Lanka. Ms. Withanawasam had made an agreement with the said company to represent Sri Lanka at the Mrs. Grand International 2022 pageant show.  

According to the agreement, the responsibility of maintaining the beauty of Ms. Withanawasam for the pageant was up to her, and the expenses of representing the beauty pageant would to be borne by MR Entertainment Company. Ms.Withanawasam, who was selected for the pageant to represent Sri Lanka, had left for Myanmar. After she arrived in Myanmar, the local organizers had informed her that the payment for her participation in the pageant had not been made. The pageant organizers had informed her that there was no way she could participate in the contest without making the payment.  

She had then requested her husband, in the United States, to send the cash for the payment. According to Magen Ratata organization President Sanjaya Mahawatte, by the time she had made the payment , the opportunity for her to represent the country had been lost.
