Navin Dissanayake appointed Governor Sabaragamuwa Province

President Ranil Wickremesinghe appointed former Minister Navin Dissanayake as the Governor of Sabaragamuwa Province yesterday.   

Mr. Dissanayake is the fourth new Governor to be appointed by the incumbent President. He appointed Lakshman Yapa Abeywardana as the Governor of North Western Province, P. S. M. Charles as the Governor of North and Senthil Thondaman as the Governor of Central Province last month.  It is expected that some more UNPers will be appointed as Governors shortly.
