Peradeniya Uni Arts Faculty lectures limited to online following ragging

The Arts Faculty of the University of Peradeniya has been closed and lectures are being conducted online following the recent clash among students, a university official said.  

Several students of the Peradeniya University were injured following a clash between two groups of students for and against ragging.  

Three students of the University have been arrested in connection with the clash reported at the university’s canteen last week.  

An official of the Arts Faculty told the Daily Mirror that conducting physical lectures at the university has been suspended since last Friday and lectures will be conducted online until further notice.  
However, he said students will not be barred from entering the campus.
