death of Dinesh Schaffter: Court orders DNA test

Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court  yesterday ordered the Government Analyst to conduct DNA tests on blood samples and other body parts of businessman Dinesh Schaffter. 

Colombo Additional Magistrate  Rajindra Jayasuriya made this order pursuant to a request made by the CID. The CID informed court that they are expecting to call for a DNA report pertaining to body parts of businessman Dinesh Schaffter and other samples collected from the crime  scene.

The DNA tests are to be performed on the samples of blood, hair, nails of Dinesh Schaffter and other materials collected from the crime scene.The CID said they are conducting investigations to determine the cause of the businessman's death.
