CIMA Students’ Society appoints new board for 2016

Abdul Qadeer was inducted as the President of the CIMA Students’ Society (CIMASS) for the year 2016 together with the new board. 
Shakir Shibthy was appointed as the Vice President and Abdul Baasith as the Assistant Vice President. Manjula De Silva, Chairman of the CIMA Sri Lanka Board, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.


Commenting on the event, Manjula De Silva stated, “The CIMA Students’ Society has organised many important events over the years, two of the events that I personally find most captivating are the CIMA Launch Pad and the CIMA Mind Challenge.” He also emphasised that events of this nature help students develop their skills and competencies and sharpen their intuition.


“CIMA has dominated the Management Accounting space over the years globally. We as the CIMA Students’ Society strive to provide students with opportunities to propel their potential towards fruition as they make their journey towards membership,” said Abdul the newly appointed President of the CIMA Students’ Society.


CIMASS consists of Students/ Passed Finalists who balance their professional careers while conducting events that give CIMA students and corporates the opportunity to share their thought process and talent in terms of entrepreneurship, sport, knowledge and philanthropy.  This year’s theme is “Wield your potential to meet your passion” and focuses on the importance of students to concentrate on what they are truly passionate about.
