Dr. Ruchitha appointed as CIM, UK Vice Chair

Dr. Ruchitha Perera, FCIM, Chartered Marketer (UK), has been appointed as a Vice Chair to the board of directors of the esteemed Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), UK. 

This significant appointment was announced during the Board of Directors Meeting held recently at Moor Hall, United Kingdom. 

With a breadth of expertise across multiple domains, Dr. Ruchitha embraces the mantle of a thought leader, placing a strong emphasis on marketing, business strategy and innovation. He champions training methodologies that prioritise leadership development, business expansion and change management.

Over a career spanning more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Ruchitha has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to knowledge sharing and community engagement. He actively mentors aspiring entrepreneurs and serves as a respected lecturer on marketing qualifications as well as a facilitator in international master’s and doctoral programmes. His training initiatives cover specialised areas, including sustainability, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and value creation for forward-thinking organisations.

As Executive Director of The Family Planning Association in Sri Lanka (FPA), Dr. Ruchitha plays a pivotal role in advancing community development through the organisation’s commitment to sexual and reproductive health rights and justice (SRHRJ). Dr. Ruchitha is at the forefront of a multifaceted approach via FPA’s comprehensive strategy, which encompasses outreach, medical services, education and advocacy efforts aimed at ensuring access to SRHRJ for all communities. Recognising the diverse needs and challenges, innovative mechanisms and interventions are continuously developed to reach even the most underserved populations. Research and development play a pivotal role in this endeavour, driving the creation of effective solutions tailored to different contexts. By championing innovation in both service delivery and advocacy, Dr. Ruchitha and FPA are paving the way for transformative change in the field of reproductive health, ensuring that no community is left behind in the pursuit of equitable access to SRHR services.
