With over six million people in Sri Lanka having access to Internet and over 4.5 million people using Facebook in Sri Lanka, digital media marketing is no longer considered a niche marketing channels, with more and more companies embracing digital media as a means to get their message out to their potential customers.
Loops, which opened its doors seven years ago, at the time digital media was at its infancy in Sri Lanka, with only a handful of companies really understanding what is online marketing, has grown from strength to strength and has become one of the largest digital agencies in Sri Lanka with over 50 clients in all industry sectors.
Also by using the talent pool available in Sri Lanka, it is working with clients in the UK, the Middle East, Australia and the Maldives using Sri Lanka as a central hub for servicing international clients.
“Digital media is not just about taking global campaigns and replicating them in Sri Lanka, companies need to understand the nuances of the Sri Lankan consumer as well as understand trends, behaviour and what is popular which keeps changing far too often,” remarked Loops Solutions CEO Shehan Selvanayagam on this occasion.
He went on to say, “We have understood that digital media is much more than a like on your page, which is why we have invested in considerable resources in video production, animation, IT and content creation to offer clients a more complete digital solution from one company.”
