People’s Bank holds Achievers Awards 2016

People’s Bank Chairman Hemasiri Fernando offered Gold award to Delgoda branch for highest per employee-based business performance in the presence of Chief Executive Officer/General Manager N. Vasantha Kumar and Deputy General Manager Channel Management Bonifuse Silva

People’s Bank Achievers Awards 2016 was held recently at Eagle Lakeside Hotel in Aththidiya to appreciate and motivate the People’s Bank internal staff members attached to regions, branches, small and medium enterprise (SME) centres and all the strategic business units. 
Accordingly, the individual officers and groups of employees, who have reported significant achievements being attached to the corporate banking division, treasury unit and information technology, human resources, banking support services, marketing and research, finance and management accounts, retail banking and enterprise banking departments, which contributed to the progress of People’s Bank and promotion of business through the branch network of the bank, were acclaimed.
The service centres that had collected the highest low-cost deposits and highest personal loans were awarded with Gold, Silver and Bronze awards. 
The branches that have recorded the  highest number of Western Union transactions, secured the highest balance of the demand deposits, increased the highest number of low-cost deposits, issued the highest number of credit cards were presented Gold, Silver and Bronze awards.
The branches that have issued the highest number of personal loans, issued the highest number of commercial loans, the highest increase in development loans, the highest increase in SME loans and recovered the highest number of non-performing loans were also awarded with Gold, Silver and Bronze awards. 
The Gold award for the branch that has opened the highest number of letters of credit was achieved by the Kurunegala branch. The Bronze, Silver and Gold awards for the highest per employee-based business performance were achieved by the Wariyapola, Battaramulla and Delgoda branches, respectively.
Chief Executive Officer/General Manager N. Vasantha Kumar, corporate and executive management and a large number of bank staff participated in this awards night and People’s Bank Chairman Hemasiri Fernando was the chief guest.
