The Sri Lanka Technological Campus (SLTC) has been awarded ISO:9001:2008 certification for Quality Management System.
Fully owned by Sri Lanka Telecom, the SLTC study programmes leading to four-year degree programmes are designed to provide sound theoretical, practical and analytical knowledge with the fundamentals of engineering and technology. Since its opening in September 2015, there are over 100 students currently who have commenced study at the SLTC.
The ISO 9001 standard outlines a process approach to implementing and supporting a quality management system with an increased involvement of top management. This certification insists on top management engagement for the setting of quality policy, goals and objectives. Additionally, this requires continued management reviews looking at data from the QMS, while taking actions to ensure that quality goals are met, new goals are set and the continuous monitoring of improvements achieved.
The campus is located at the SLT Satellite Station in Padukka, which is easily accessible from Colombo via common transport modes and can accommodate students in a comfortable environment located on a sprawling 35-acre property.
The campus also has all required facilities including laboratories, classrooms, auditorium and library. The administrative office and the city campus are based at TRACE expert city in Maradana.
