Leading Sri Lankan pharmaceutical manufacturer Astron Limited has once again displayed its commitment to empowering local brands by partnering with the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM). Beautine, a brand of nutricosmetic manufactured and marketed by Astron, has signed up as a Silver sponsor of the 14th SLIM Brand Excellence Awards 2015 to be worked off later this year.
The SLIM Brand Excellence Awards is the flagship event organised by SLIM, the national body for marketing in Sri Lanka, in line with its mandate to initiate, enrich and uplift best practices in marketing. This is the only awards platform in the country which rewards top brands and brand custodians in the brand marketing arena.

Astron Limited, a fully Sri Lankan-owned pharmaceutical company incorporated in 1956, is renowned in the industry for developing, manufacturing and marketing healthcare products of the highest quality and efficacy. Beautine is a brand of beauty capsules specifically formulated with key ingredients and scientifically proven to visibly transform skin, hair and nails.

Speaking at the sponsorship cheque handing-over ceremony, Astron Limited Director Marketing Johann De Zilwa said, “The nationally acclaimed SLIM Brand Excellence Awards is taking place for the 14th consecutive year, which proves its acceptance and power among the Sri Lankan marketing fraternity. Beautine is indeed honoured to be a part of this great brand endeavour as it perfectly complements Astron’s commitment to empower local brands.”
Astron Limited states that the Silver sponsorship of SLIM Brand Excellence Awards 2015 is just one of the many initiatives that the company has taken towards empowering and nurturing top brands and marketing professionals in Sri Lanka and that they will continue to add value to the local economy and whilst contributing to the healthcare industry.
