Janashakthi wins Gold at SLITAD People Development Awards 2015

Janashakthi Insurance PLC emerged victorious at the Sri Lanka Institute of Training & Development (SLITAD) People Development Awards 2015 held in Colombo recently.
Walking away with the Gold award on the evening, this is the third consecutive year that Janashakthi Insurance has won an award at the prestigious event.
“At Janashakthi, we firmly believe that the relentless efforts of all members of the Janashakthi family have been instrumental in helping us emerge as a force to reckon with in Sri Lanka’s insurance sector. Their continued training and development is a key driver of our success. And we are greatly honoured to see these practices being recognized yet again at this prestigious forum,” said Senior Manager Human Resources Development Hasinda Fernando.
Janashakthi has consecutively been able to rank high at this event due to its commitment to evaluating, identifying and meeting the training needs of individual team members. All employees are given a clear career path with star performers from each team being identified and groomed for future leadership roles. Evaluating the effectiveness training programmes by monitoring key performance metrics pre and post training, the company makes amends as and where needed.

Organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development (SLITAD), the People Development Awards recognize the best practices of Sri Lanka’s public and private sector organisations in the field of training and development. SLITAD is a leading non-profit organisation in Sri Lanka that strives to promote the best practices in human resource development. Since its inception in 1998, it has done this by initiating a number of training, education, knowledge sharing, networking and recognition programmes.
