Multilac demonstrated its commitment to its dealer community by taking its top performing dealers on an all-expenses paid holiday to Turkey, in line with its mission to achieve success through the triple bottom line – people, planet and profit.
This year’s 47 dealers were treated to a grand tour of Turkey with a well-planned itinerary that included culture tourism, sightseeing and ample shopping trips.
A 100 percent Sri Lankan company with a locally manufactured product, Multilac’s extensive dealer network spread across the country has been geared to meet sales margins which the company rewards with an exotic holiday overseas. The tour is in appreciation of the dealers’ hard work and a reward to their trust in Multilac paints that they vigorously endorse.
“At Multilac, quality comes first. Placing their trust in our brand, our dealers in turn sell our quality and innovations, undoubtedly contributing to our success. It is our duty to look after them and therefore this is a token of gratitude for the faith they have placed in us,” said General Manager Sales and Marketing Ramesh Perera.
Turkey has history etched in many old churches, mosques and palaces, an opportunity for the dealers to experience a new culture while relaxing away from home. The tour included visiting ancient churches of the Byzantine Empire and mosques commissioned by the Ottoman imperial family including famous sites such as the Suleymaniye Mosque, Rüstem Pasha Mosque, Blue Mosque and the Christian basilica turned imperial mosque – Hagia Sophia. The Rüstem Pasha Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Beylerbeyi Palace were also awe-inspiring.
Another remarkable experience for the travellers was the Bosphorus Bridge, which connects Europe and Asia, spanning over the 32 kilometre north-south strait of Bosphorus that joins Marmara Sea from Istanbul. The Byzantine Hippodrome, the sporting centre of ancient Constantinople, and the breathtaking view of the lively Camalica Hill were memorable stopovers.
The well-organised tour ensured a relaxed and fun-filled holiday for dealers with a mix of Turkish, Malay, Indian and Chinese cuisine. A dinner cruise was the highlight of the tour culminating in a grand celebration of appreciation.
