This year’s Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) annual graduation ceremony that was held recently at the BMICH was dominated by ESOFT students who obtained the best overall results yet again.
Bhagya Indeewarie, a student of ESOFT, obtained a First Class and was recognised as the all-island batch top while five other ESOFT students obtained Second Uppers.
ESOFT scholars also took away three Gold Medals including the Prof. V.K. Samaranayake Medal for Best Performance, Best Individual Project and the M.J.P.U. Samanthilaka Memorial Award.
Sri Lanka’s island-wide batch top this year is Bhagya Indeewarie who joined ESOFT’s BIT plus programme after her A/Ls and is today the proud holder of a First Class in BIT. She is also the only student in Sri Lanka to have obtained a First Class this year.
To celebrate and recognise her success, the management of ESOFT has decided to award her a full scholarship to complete a world class Kingston University Masters programme which she can complete right here in Sri Lanka.
