Hutchinson Telecommunications Lanka joined Sri Lanka’s World Award-winning Mobile Application Development platform Ideamart last month, enabling the 5’000 Ideamart application developers to access Hutch’s Network Infrastructure through APIs (Application Programme Interfaces) and extend their applications and services to Hutch’s subscriber base.
Following the integration of Hutch Network Infrastructure, Ideamart will now provide Sri Lankan Developers access to over 12.5 Million Mobile subscribers across Dialog Axiata and Hutch Mobile Networks.The partnership will also enable Hutch subscribers to avail of hundreds of applications, development infrastructure and value added services available on the platform.
Ideamart, winner of the Global Mobile Award for ‘Best Technology Enabler’ at the 2015 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, is an application development platform architected by Dialog Axiata. Ideamart exposes Mobile Network Infrastructure via APIs through a simple to use web interface to Sri Lanka’s mobile application and content development community. Empowered by Ideamart, professional as well as amateur application developers, alongside small and medium entrepreneurs as well as tech startups, are able to expose their innovations to mobile consumers across Sri Lanka.
The integration of Hutch’s network infrastructure with the Ideamart Platform is set to greatly benefit the Ideamartdeveloper community through the expansion of the market place for their innovations and services. The Ideamarteco-system now encompasses a base of 1.5 million Sri Lankan mobile consumers and 5’000 developers and content providers.
