The International Association of Coaching Sri Lanka chapterwill play host and organize the conference on ‘Coaching in the Cyber Physical World’ conducted by the International Association of Coaching (IAC) on December 4thand 5thof at the Hotel Taj Samudra, Colombo.
This event is the first Global Conference conducted by the IAC and is expecting over 100 delegates from 53 countries.
The IAC international mission is ‘to expand the path to coaching mastery by inspiring the on-going evolution and application of universal coaching standards. With a focus on the improvement of the coaching profession overall, and is not on the performance of particular services for individuals’.
The advent of automation driving efficiency and speed propelled the industrial revolution with Cloud computing, robotics, machine learning and artificial intelligence are driving the new future. It is a future that threatens the present way of thinking and requires us to make a paradigm shift and harness and use of above new technologies. Understanding the turn of the century events and their impact, the conference will be discussing ‘Coaching in Cyber Physical World.’
Commenting on the conference International Association of Coaching President Krishna Kumar said, “We are glad that the IAC Sri Lanka chapter has stepped forward to be the organizers of the first global coaching conference. We expect Sri Lankan coaches to join the coaching fraternity to expand the path to coaching mastery along with many international coaches”.
The programme is expected to dare the audience on the lines of ‘Can coaches remain complacent that the cyber-physical world will have little or no impact on our way of coaching?’ “If we were to embrace these new technologies could we use them to improve our mastery of coaching?” How might philosophies and concepts like self-awareness, fulfillment, love and compassion that remain integral to coaching fit in this new world?” These are some of the challenges that would be the focal point of the conference.
The IAC – Sri Lanka chapter, is an independent, professional association of coaches dedicated to the ongoing pursuit of coaching mastery. The Chapter will support clients to collectively achieve their goals,progress in career paths and build self-confidence and fulfilment.
Introducing the objectives of the IAC Sri Lanka , Chapter President Kanthi Basnyaake emphasized the necessity of coaching culture for continuous development of human resources in Sri Lanka .While positioning IAC Sri Lanka as a premier coaching institute focusing on development of coaches with global standards and will aim to facilitate knowledge transfers through training and development programmes for fellow members, corporate, government sector organizations and all other clients and to be the Champion of the profession of coaching in Sri Lanka.
The chapter will, collaborate with other coaching bodies and professions institutes through peer networks to learn and share knowledge, build skill and competencies of coaching community.
The SL chapter has already completed its inaugural programme titles ‘Mastery in Leading and Coaching’ conducted by IAC International Vice President Shan Moorthi last month.
Coaching in the cyber physical world will offer a special price for Sri Lankan participant’s at Rs. 24,000 and encourages corporate and individual trainers to enroll early to listen, learn and coach.
